Well there isn’t even a month left of summer break but it really wasn’t a break for me. I’ve been taking some online classes to get ahead (PAIN IN THE ASS) and I had cross country every morning at 8. I turned 16 a week ago w00t!
And……..
I’m going to see Gaslight Anthem tomorrow :3 one of my favorite bandsssssssss. I love them Then Lollapalooza on August 6th! Still debating whether I should see Gaga or the Strokes. (Leaning towards Gaga… sounds like more fun hah)
Today I woke up with terrible news…. MATTHEW IS DATING KATE HUDSON. Really? Out of all people? As soon as I found out, I cranked Mirco Cuts through my laptop and realized that they would not work. Nope. Matthew is too perfect to find someone of equal value. He’s at the age where he’s gonna get married soon. So they’re gonna get married, have kids, Matt’s gonna be too stressed with the kids and his band and he’s gonna break up Muse. NO NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I’d die.
I haven’t posted in forever, but I think I say that every time I post something.
I’m a huge, die-hard Muse fan. For those who are also big Muse fans, you will know that their creations from the Absolution era are the greatest. (Not saying that their new stuff isn’t good, because it is.) But listening to Neutron Star Collision, I was actually in shock.
The Muse songs "Supermassive Black Hole" and "I Belong To You" were on previous Twilight soundtracks. Those songs are amazing, and they weren’t written for Twilight either. But this new "Neutron Star Collision" is absolutely horrendous. The first time I listened to it I almost turned it off halfway. The second time, when I watched the video, pissed me off because they actually put Twilight clips in the background; I also realized how unoriginal the solo was. COME ON MUSE. You can do better. But I know that Matthew just threw together some crap and made it into a song because he probably realized that anything in Twilight, people would love.
I’m also taking a look at the whole album on iTunes: 1) Metric- Eclipse (All Yours) 2) Muse- Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever) 3) The Bravery- Ours 4) Florence + The Machine- Heavy In Your Arms 5) Sia- My Love 6) Fanfario- Atlas 7) The Black Keys- Chop and Change 8) The Dead Weather- Rolling In On A Burning Tire 9) Beck and Bat for Lashes- Let’s Get Lost 10) Vampire Weekend- Jonathon Low 11) UNKLE- With You In My Head (Feat. The Black Angels) 12) Eastern Conference Champions- A Million Miles An Hour 13) Band of Horses- Life on Earth 14) Cee Lo Green- What Part of Forever 15) Howard Shore- Jacob’s Theme 16) Battles- The Line (Bonus Track) 17) Bombay Bicycle Club- How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep (Bonus Track) 18) Fanfario- Atlas Remix (Bonus Track) 19) Cee Lo Green- What Part of Forever Remix (Bonus Track)
Okay. I don’t know most of these on here, but the ones that I do know I am VERY UPSET about.
Muse- Don’t do Twilight anymore, please. At least don’t write songs JUST for them. They’re terrible and unoriginal and don’t even sound like you. The Bravery- I haven’t heard this song yet, but I love The Bravery. Should not be on Twilight. Doesn’t really sound like Twilight, either. The Black Keys- …self explanatory Vampire Weekend- I’m listening to them right now. No, just no. Don’t put Vampire Weekend on Twilight Battles- NOW I AM REALLY PISSED ABOUT THIS. I LOVE BATTLES, THEY MAKE AMAZING MUSIC AND THEY SHOULD NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER IN A TRILLION YEARS GO ON TWILIGHT.
Whoever picked this soundtrack will need to rethink things for the next movie.
On Friday, March 12th, I saw Silversun Pickups and Muse at the United Center. Well… it was amazing.
Silversun Pickups was just eh at first, their sound was horrible, but they got better as the night went on. Muse, on the other hand, was awesome. The sound was great, the set was beautiful, their set list was amazing. My eyes were even watering during Guiding Light.
Picture not that great, but this was before the show. The entire place was PACKED, even behind the stage! My mom didn’t understand how so many people could like Muse, but I could :]
Also, I saw 3 guys wearing skirts. Including the guy next to us. But he went all out: green pleated skirt, camo shirt, boots, and blue nail polish. Ha xD
Muse was amazing. Muse is amazing. Muse will always be amazing. I’m praying and praying (even though I’m atheist) that they will be at Lollapalooza this August.
I know this may be a little late to post this, but I’m selling a console Starck piano on eBay. This is no longer in my interest because I’ve invested in a synthesizer.
I’m 15, and I saw Where The Wild Things Are opening night. It was a fantastic, beautiful movie that almost made me cry. It was funny, sad, uplifting, and just brilliant. There is no reason that it shouldn’t have gotten a nomination. The costumes were phenomenal, the acting was great, it was just amazing. The soundtrack was amazing too. I’m so upset it didn’t get nominated. I’m really upset.
Well, I need money. And selling the clothes I don’t wear anymore would be a great idea to make money.
So what do I have listed? I have 2 shirts from Wet Seal (size small), 2 Aeropostale hoodies (size small), a pair of jeans (size 3) and I’ll be listing a pair of skinny jeans (3 short) as soon as they get out of the dryer. Check it out!
Those are the items I have listed. I offer free shipping on almost everything now because shipping prices are so high and it turns away buyers. Check back often for more listings!
-Nay is getting rid of some clothes because she needs some $$
I’ve seen this all over and I’m sure you have too. I recently donated my $10 using this method. I think everyone with a cell phone should do this. If you can afford a cell phone, you can afford to help someone in need. If you don’t have a cell phone, there are many other ways to donate. You can go to the the American Red Cross website (located http://www.redcross.org/ <— there) and donate. My mom donated $100.
And no, if you are wondering, this is NOT a hoax. The White House Website says this a real, legit way to donate money.
